public and its business circles, through participation of Russia in ocean
sailing races, unique by efficiency PR opportunities, to contribute via
advertising for a positive image of the country and its business; to
participate in promotion of Russian companies in the world markets.

brands, that in this country there are people capable to spend money to
maintain rating and image of Russia, who are ready not only to increase
capitalization of their brand, but also are ready to support sports and

Brief description of the Project
The project is calculated to last 3 years, from 2006 to 2009.
It includes following stages:
Purchase of a training maxi- yacht (2006-2007),
Designing a racing yacht for participation in Volvo.
Construction of a racing yacht on one of domestic shipyards or abroad
(2007)
The equipment and gear presented for international controls and
measurement, testing of the yacht
Preparation of crew for participation in the race (2006-2008)
Participation in the race (2008-2009).
In parallel with the listed stages of the project, for achievement of the
planned purpose PR activities are planned and conducted: - creation of
information occasions, - attraction of mass media to illumination of all
stages of the project, - preparation of spreads and bulletins with the
information on the project, - analytical activity, - adaptation of the
technical and specialized information, - support of the Internet-site, -
granting of any information during realization of the project and its
activities.
Designing and construction of a yacht
Designing and construction of a yacht will be carried out with participation
of following organizations:
Bruce Farr and Associates (USA),
Steiner Design (Switzerland),
Yachting Optima (Moscow),
The Ricochet (Saint-Petersburg).
Ship-building shipyard-1 of the Navy (Lazarevskoe),
Composite Marine Technology (Switzerland),
SP composite (UK),
Performance composite yachts (NZ),
Jean Marin (France),
And a number of other firms on delivery of the equipment.
